It took me about 10 min to download, upload
and post all of our pics onto the blog.

I finally got
me to the library & stuck a bunch of my
EC 2007 photos
up. They're straight off the camera, unedited,
the bad along with the worse. Ignore the automatic
copyright notice, make copies if you want.... |
|
... Also I put
a video
(only worthwhile one I got this year) of the
Team RAF boats whooshing past me.

Finally, here
is a video
of Roonio, (a catamaran that is supposed to
enter the EC next year) launching through the
surf. It was designed by Jeff Gilbert and built
by Paul and Bill Moffett. |
... now back to our regularly
scheduled show...

The PD
Racer I built, and just finished Saturday
mid-day was given to my son's school for their
annual fundraiser auction. They got $650 for
it.

Hello, I thought
your online magazine might be interested in
a boat
I've built. It is a ten foot kayak made from
PVC and tarp.

G'dat Chuck,
Thanks for getting the plans for the Larsboat
to me so quickly. I have started a blog. Glad
you made it back from your sail.

I remembered
to put the camera in the truck before going
to work today, and stopped by to see the clipper
ship "Stad
Amsterdam" which has been moored in
Galveston the last couple of days.

Here's a nifty
site.
This was obviously created for runners, but
a sailor type person could use it was well to
calculate distances along shorelines, or in
their favorite sailing hole.

Here is a Jimmy
Skiff blog
from Ron Paro. Jimmy Skiff is a design from
Chesapeake Light Craft. |
I
drove up yesterday and attended the Lost Coast
chapter's Noyo
River Row at Albion, California. Winds were
light, the river low and seagrass plentiful,
so everyone but the guys in the Faering rowed
-- they managed to sail up and back, quite a
feat!
Most of the boats were Whitehall
or dory designs. The green dory skiff appears
to be a modification of the Chamberlain dory
skiff, done in ply with a wider bottom.

A
couple seasons back one of New England's kayaking
clubs organized radar tests with a Massachusetts
Coast Guard search and rescue station.
It was a miserable wet day with torrential
rains.
The results of the radar tests were equally
miserable: watchstanders reported they were
unable to distinguish kayakers radar screen
clutter
and chaff. It was a sobering visit.

I've suggested
that this

I think he may well do so.

For the last
few years I have collected zillions of kayak
related URLs. They tend often to be hard
to categorize. I am now using an online service
called https://del.icio.us to help out.

Great for finding what lakes have boat ramps,
etc.
