Great website ! Nice to see the Plans and Projects all in one place. Wondering if you're looking for more links for your Project Index. I'm working on a Glen-L Hot Rod. It's a 60's-style v-drive ski boat powered by a 283 CID Chevy V8.

Longtime Duckworks readers will recall that Jim Ward built a Tolman Alaska Skiff in my shope a few years ago. He and wife, Mary, dropped by last week to regale us with tales of the inside passage and an invitation to come salmon fishing. See their blog.

I was recently doing some reading about NYC maritime history, I read about the old HORSE POWERED ferries used to cross the east river and Harlem river. Did a quick Google and foudn some neat sites....

... Threr is even a book called "When Horses Walked on Water" by Kevin J. Crisman and Arthur B. Cohn.

Maybe some handy builder wants to re-invent the wheel (or horse-powered boat)

After we took our son, Joe, to the San Juan river last spring, he wrote an article about the trip and now he has put some of the pictures and video clips into a short film.

Duckworks is proud to be a sponsor of Team RAF and their first Everglades Challenge attempt. We are looking forward to meeting this fine crew at Fort DeSoto. We really like their blog.

I've been rooting around my old rolls of film and came across some shots of the lumber schooner Alvin Clark taken in 1969. Thought you might be interested.

Andrew Linn builds a lot of boats, or starts them anyway. Occasionally he has to do some house cleaning. In this case, he made a party out of it and did a good job of documenting the affair.

As many of you know, I will be sailing in the Everglades Challenge with Skip Johnson in his p-52 proa. I have decided to start a photo album to post all the pictures of the boat and the event.

Found a site from the Phillipines you might want to take a look at. For shots of the boat, look HERE. For the main site, HERE.

For some photos of bamboo workboats go to HERE. These are actual working and fishing boats, and probably closely related to the kinds of craft our distant ancestors first used to move about over the water..

I suggested to Jim that he should send you something about his sailing canoe. I don't know whether he has, but if not you might be entertained by this.

Building Nina is a blog by Eric, an ex-pro ski bum with a boatbuilding problem. He bills it as "A place to see a complete idiot build a beautiful boat by hte June 1st 2007 deadline!"

I was wandering around the web this evening, and stumbled across this site.
Nice build, and incredibly, the man talked his new wife along for their week-long honeymoon on their new 15-foot sailboat on the Mississippi.

Cheers, Brian
