Hello Chuck
This is an update to my KD 860 cruiser catamaran
design. I do so because a lot of your readers are
interested in my designs as I can see on my counter
statistic.
The first boat is (almost) ready and was built in
Turkey. They have made some changes to the design,
but basically it shows what can be done to “customize”
a standard plan.
By the way, it looks as if the boat was built by
professionals, but they are not. It was the first
boat they ever built. The boat was built in three
months. Two persons worked regular on the project,
which boils down to 1080 hours. I calculated that
the boat can be built in 1200 hours. Not bad I think.
The project was sponsored by the company shown on
the banners.
Here some pictures of the boat.
I think this boat is an other good example what can
be done with plywood, glass fibre and Epoxy.
Best regards
Bernd
