Chugger:
Chugger is a mini-cabin cruiser that took me about
35 hours to complete -- in todays fast paced world
we all need a project that offers instant gratification
-- We have many hours of sea trials in the Chugger
and it is stable and roomy - my wife even went for
a cruise and she does not like water.
Poor Boy Skiff
Hi Chuck here is Steve Lewis' Poor Boy skiff - it
took 19 hrs to build last 5 to paint -- more story
later -- ps raised freeboard 8 inches looks more east
coasty that way (like a Brockway), It took even less
time to build -- light and sturdy it has been a ball
and I am going to keep building them until I see something
else.
This boat was just as much fun as the Chugger was..
used a lot of leftovers and cutoffs from it.. Will
have it in the water Sunday for a thorough shakedown
- It is almost eleven feet long and 50 inches beam
flat bottom with a little turn upwards and external
chines--side panels are 1/4 in luan and bottom is
3/8 in other components are clear 1x's from Home Depot
and some colonial trim hahahaha PL glue and oil based
paint and we are finished check out Lewis
Boatworks on the web for plans
Thanks
Bill - wood is good
