Hawaiian canoe

Hi Chuck,

I just thought I'd send you a couple of pictures of the recently launched Hawaiian canoe I wrote about a ways back. Its 21 loa, 14 boa, 18" wide canoe, two 4'3" x 10'8" trampolines, a freestanding rig with a 128 square foot tanbark leg o' mutton sail with 4 battens--two being full length. It's been fun to sail so far although I'll soon be adding a rudder to alleviate the drudgery of paddle steering and a leeboard to help with leeway. As it sits it will go to windward, but it makes some serious leeway with no foils.
