Tender
by Rick Malagodi
Hi Chuck,
I loved the gun
so much I had to build a boat!

My father needed a beach launch-able tender for
his ocean boat so we whipped one up this past weekend. He needs
to be able to brave the surf during launch so we made it big
– it’s only 10’-6” long but almost 20”
deep. I had pre-glued the sides (with ½” chines
attached), transom and bulkhead on Thursday night and over the
weekend we assembled the beast including the stem, the sole,
and a nifty breasthook. By late Sunday afternoon he carted it
off to Maine to finish it. When I get finished pictures from
him I’ll zip you an article.

I really love that damn caulking
gun as you can see by the amount of PL squeeze-out
around the stem.
