Michalak
on Lake Mead

We have returned from a four
day, three night sailing/beachcamping cruise of Lake Mead. Some
of you may know it's the water behind Hoover Dam, the largest
man made lake in North America.
Weather was mostly sunny, very,
very low humidity, never above 79 during the day and never below
54 at night. Stars you could not believe. Winds varied from
calm at night to 5-10 knots in the mornings and 10-15 knots
in the afternoon with the last morning blowing 20 to 25 knots.
My 12 year old son and I sailed
and slept aboard our Michalak Jewelbox
Jr. "SAGE", and couple friends beach tent-camped
from their Bolger Diablo.
A good time was had by all.
That lake is incredibly beautiful,
and the surrounding desert was in full bloom due to the recent
rains.
There are photos in the "Michalak_Boats_Photos_Only"
photo section in a folder called "Lake Mead" plus
one on the "Home" page.
